1. What is Selfhost?

I selfhost pretty much everything. Photos on Immich, files on Nextcloud, and a bunch of other stuff running on my own hardware at home. At some point I figured I could turn the setup work I already know how to do into something people could actually buy.

Selfhost is pre-configured physical hardware with Immich and Nextcloud set up out of the box and ready to use. You buy it, you plug it in, and you have your own private Google Photos and Google Drive replacement running on hardware you own in your own home. No subscriptions, no data on someone else’s servers, no storage limits beyond what you put in the box.

2. What’s included by default

Every Selfhost build comes with:

  • Immich - a self-hosted photo and video backup solution that works very similarly to Google Photos. There’s a mobile app, automatic backup, face recognition, albums, everything you’d expect.
  • Nextcloud - file storage, syncing, and sharing. Works like Google Drive. Has desktop and mobile clients.

Both are configured, running, and accessible from outside your home network on day one.

3. Add-ons

If you want other services on top of the base setup, I can add them. Some common ones:

  • Jellyfin - self-hosted media server, basically a personal Netflix for your own movies and TV shows
  • Other services on request, just ask

4. Pricing

Pricing is case by case depending on the hardware and what you need, but most builds come out to around 18,000 INR. Get in touch at selfhost.rishimalnad.dev for a specific quote.

5. Status

Currently in development. Taking early enquiries.
